gNMI (streaming telemetry)

What it does: gRPC Network Management Interface — Get for on-demand snapshots, Subscribe for streaming telemetry (push updates as values change).

Use it for: real-time interface counters and utilization, and telemetry-driven monitoring/alerting instead of SNMP polling.

Notes: modern platforms + OpenConfig models; higher fidelity than SNMP.
