Speed test

What it does: measures your internet connection's download speed, upload speed, and latency by moving test data to and from Cloudflare's servers. It's the "how fast is my internet right now?" check.

What you need: a working internet connection. Nothing to configure — just click Run.

Safe to run: yes — it only sends/receives test traffic to a public speed-test endpoint. It briefly uses your full bandwidth, so results can dip if someone else is streaming or downloading at the same time.

Reading results: download/upload are in Mbps (higher is better); compare them to the speed your plan promises. Latency (ms) is the round-trip delay (lower is better) — high latency makes calls and gaming feel laggy even when Mbps looks fine. One low number points at where to look: low download but fine upload, or high latency with fine speeds, are different problems.
