What is SubnetSlinger?

SubnetSlinger is a network engineer's toolkit that runs on your machine. Your findings — inventory, incidents, logs, runbooks, the Vault — stay on it: there's no cloud sync and no account needed to use the tools. (A license is a separate thing: buying Pro means signing in with your email so we know what you own. See "Your account, your license, and your data" for exactly what that does and doesn't send.)

Each tool does one job: test reachability, look up a record, scan ports, inspect a certificate, and so on.

Finding a tool: the left rail lists every tool. Use the search box at the top of the rail to filter by name ("ping", "mac", "cert"), and hover any tool to see a one-line description. The Home screen shows your network at a glance.

New to networking? Start with Ping (is it reachable?), then Trace and Path ping (where along the path is it breaking?). Read the "Reading results" and "Can these tools cause harm?" articles next.
